Stirfresh are delighted to welcome Paul Hegarty, Dundee United Legend, to Stirfresh as an Ambassador & Sales Representative for our family-run company
Currently Manager at Montrose FC, Paul competed at the highest level for Dundee United and Scotland and is very fit & healthy. Understandably, he has a wealth of knowledge on how to eat healthily and remain at the top of his game and this makes him an ideal Ambassador for Stirfresh.
As Captain at Dundee United, Paul Hegarty won eight international caps for Scotland and during the 1982-83 season played his part in capturing the Scottish League title. He was appointed to the post of Manager of Scottish League Two club Montrose in February 2015 having previously managed Forfar Athletic, Aberdeen, Dundee United, and Livingston.
In welcoming Paul on board at Stirfresh, we intend to use Paul's knowledge of health & fitness to influence school pupils and students' attitudes towards healthy eating, providing inspiration and enabling Stirfresh to open a dialogue with sports clubs and schools on a nutritional level and to encourage the use of Scottish fresh produce as much as possible. The appointment is part of a wider campaign to make healthy eating more accessible to all and raise awareness of how easy it is to become fit and healthy. We hope that audiences will also enjoy Paul's stories of beating Barcelona & Roma in the European Cup semi-final and playing against Maradona for Scotland!
Engaging audiences at sports clubs and schools on a nutritional level also involves encouraging cooking and tasting from as young an age as possible and Stirfresh would love to see every child leave school with the knowledge of how to cook, even if it's just a pot of soup.
We supply schools, hospitals, care homes, universities, hotels, and restaurants with fresh, Scottish produce. Our fresh soup mixes are available in Aldi stores.Back to all news
